Robinson, age 72 of Excel, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Robinson, a lifelong resident of Monroe County, was a member of Excel Assembly of God Church. She worked at Excel High School as an art instructor for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen Bernard Parrish and Thelma Robinson Parrish. Survivors include her husband, Wendell Robinson of Excel; her sons, Wendell Allen Robinson and wife Irma of Lanett, AL and Richard Todd Robinson and wife Rosie of Excel, AL; her sister, Janice Parrish of Excel; two granddaughters; three step grandsons and one step granddaughter; one great granddaughter; two step great grandsons and one step great granddaughter. Funeral services will be Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Brumbalow officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, September 21st from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family is accepting flowers or donations may be made to the Excel Assembly of God Food Bank.
