  From FindAGrave.com Birth: Aug. 15, 1936 Death: Nov. 28, 2014 Bay Minette Baldwin County Alabama, USA Mr. James V. Blackmon, age 78, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014, in Bay Minette, AL. He was a native of Rabun, AL. and a resident of Bay Minette for most of his life. He was a member of the Rabun Volunteer Fire Department (30 years), Bay Minette Fire Department, Auxiliary Deputy with the Baldwin County Sheriff Office, Auxiliary Police with the Bay Minette Police Department and retired from the Baldwin County Board of Education with forty-eight years and four months of service. He attended the Vision Ministries Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, George T. and Sarah A. Blackmon and two brothers, Virgil Blackmon and Elvie T. Blackmon. Mr. Blackman is survived by his wife of fifty-five years and ten months, Eunice M. Blackmon of Bay Minette; two sons, Rev. James Alan (Michelle) Blackmon and Jeremy Brian (Tiffany) Blackmon, both of Bay Minette; one sister, Annie Lucille Stewart of Rabun, AL.; four grandchildren, Alison Blackmon, Amber Leigh Blackmon, Ayriel Skye Blackmon and Meri-Katharyn Sara Blackmon and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Vision Ministries Church of God with Rev. James Alan Blackmon and Rev. Steve Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at the Dean Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 6 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. November 30, 2014 at the Vision Ministries Church of God. Pallbearers will be Larry Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Edward Blackmon, Arch Rotch, Andy Russell and Wendall Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Hartley, Roland Rotch and Clarence Bramlett.
