HOWELL
Urbane Benjamin "Ben" Howell, 75, a native of Rabun and resident of Dothan, died Jan. 2, 1999, at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. He was in the maintenance department at Mannor Corporation.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Carver Howell of Dothan; three sons, Michael Paffumi of Greenacres, Wash., Donald McCallister of Bon Secour and William A. Hough of Dothan; two daughters, Diane Nelson of Bon Secour and Sarah Baughman of Dothan; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 7 at the New Life Baptist Church with the Revs. Otis Thames and Earl Stabler officiating. Burial was in New Life Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.

Mrs. Audrey Vera Hudson Sessions, a native of Coffeeville, AL and a resident of Grand Bay, AL since early childhood, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Elmcroft Senior Living Community. She was the wife of the late, Clarence Albert Sessions for some sixty-four years. She is survived by two sons, Al (Elaine) Sessions, Mobile County Treasurer, of Mobile and Lee (Elizabeth) Sessions, Mobile Teacher of Grand Bay, seven grandchildren, Apryl (Shawn) Kyzer of Starkville, MS, Hope (Christopher) Laird of Mobile, Matt Sessions of Mobile, William (Amber) Sessions, Amy Sessions and Ryan Sessions of Grand Bay, Tracy (Scott) Reed of Meridian, MS, six great-grandchildren, Alex Powers, Faith Laird, Christian Laird, Nicholas Sessions, Auburn Sessions and Davis Reed, one brother, Charles Hudson of Weymouth, MA, and many other relatives and friends to cherish her memory. A son, William Walter Barton Sessions, seven brothers and three sisters preceded Mrs. Sessions in death. Mrs. Sessions was an active member of First Baptist Church of Grand Bay for many years. She was also active with the Otha Merriweather Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Grand Bay, for many years before it was inactivated. Pallbearers will be George Jackson, Mickey Sessions, Art Sessions, David Sessions, Brandon Welborn, Eugene Smith, Paul Pigorsch and Carl Pigorsch. Visitation will be held Saturday evening, November 5, 2011 at Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Theodore, AL from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Funeral to be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon November 6, 2011 at 3 P.M. from the chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

was Hamburg America Line's VENETIA. She was a 2,822 gross ton ship, length 320ft x beam 40ft, one funnel, two masts, single screw and a speed of 12 knots. Accommodation for 30-1st and 800-3rd class passengers. Built by Reiherstieg, Hamburg, she was launched on 30th Jul.1891 and sailed on her maiden voyage from Hamburg to New York on 12th Oct.1891. On 7th Mar.1893 she started her first voyage from Stettin to Helsingborg, Gothenburg, Christiansand and New York and commenced her last sailing on this route on 18th Nov.1896, having made 20 round voyages on this service. Sold to the Sloman Line of Hamburg in 1900, she was renamed BELLAGIO and in 1905 she was sold to Deutsche Levante Line and named PAROS. Renamed GALATA in 1906, she went to Italian owners in 1913 and was renamed APOLLONIA. On 1st Mar.1917 she was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine near Flamborough Head, Yorkshire. She is survived by two sons, Adam (LaDana) Robinson of Castleberry, AL, and Jonathan Robinson of Castleberry, AL; three daughters, Teresa (Ryan) Burt of Millbrook, AL, Tracy (Phillip) Blackmon of Holtville, AL, and Ashley Weaver of Castleberry, AL; one brother, Tommy Tremer of Brewton, AL; three sisters, Betty Townson of Century, FL, Mary Louise Brawner of South Carolina, and Carolyn Keely of Cantonment, FL; and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Speaker, Claudia Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Craver's Funeral Home on Monday from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.
